The Five-November 27, 2012

After at least six weeks off, it’s good to be getting back into the swing of things here at DPS. And to start us off right …here is a reminder about some help we’re wanting here at DPS.

And here are five blog post that are so brilliant I sin a little by wishing I had written them. Enjoy…

In shocking news: a new Pira Survey reveals real reasons the unchurched don’t attend church. It’s shocking and revealing research that Thom Rainer would even appreciate, though probably not believe.

If, once you are saved can you lose your salvation, does Hebrews 6 teach this exact thing? Find out in this informative article by J.W. Hendryx.

One of my first ever DPS posts was about Rob Bell, and I’ve mentioned him upon occasion in other posts as well. This article by the ever brilliant Tim Challies discusses the questions and ponderances that Bell’s “ministry”, and others like it, bring up.

This article by one of my favorite authors, Tullian Tchividjian, asks the question: Are Christians Totally Depraved? In case you missed it from everyone else posting it, it’s an interesting and informative article that makes my heart sing with joy and praise to our Lord and Saviour.

This article by Thabiti Anyabwile, who incidentally is an extremely considerate and nice guy on social media, is part one of a multi-part series on preaching and asks the question: How Do You Define Preaching? It’s a series well worth your time.

That’s all for this weeks edition. Grace and Peace, John
